Male actor 50–65 wanted for lead role in short film “Furešti”

Hello!

It’s time for us students at Stockholm Film School to produce our short film “Furešti”.

We are currently looking for actors for the film’s main roles.

What kind of project is it?

Furešti is a dramatic short film about three Yugoslav refugees who unexpectedly find each other in a foreign country, at the moment they need it most, and slowly begin to rebuild a sense of home together.

This is an intimate and emotional film built around human connection, memory, and exile.

We are especially interested in actors with a Balkan background or familiarity with Croatian / Serbian / Bosnian language and culture.

About Nikola

Nikola is in his fifties. He has the demeanor of a man trying to stay upright for the people around him. He may appear emotionally guarded, but underneath there is grief, tenderness, and a longing for home. The role requires presence, stillness, and emotional precision.
